An artful amalgam of the old and the new, THE LOT in Liberty Station is the latest addition to the still-evolving arts and culture district in the former Naval Training Center. THE LOT sits in the former Luce Auditorium and features a glass-enclosed lounge, a bar and restaurant, as well as a 26,000-square foot theater with six luxurious auditoriums.
Fluid Sound was able to contribute to the luxury experience at THE LOT through thoughtful AV system design and integration. A video wall in the bar area, digital signage in the theater area, and a high-end sound system all add to the guest experience, and an easy-to-use control system makes things simple for the end user.

Challenge
The client approached Fluid Sound for their second incarnation of the luxury theater complex. They asked us to design a high-end audio video system for the public space area of their new Liberty Station venue. Control integration into the lighting and HVAC system, as well as monitoring the security system, and providing a WiFi infrastructure were the paramount feature requests of the client.
Solution
A 3×3 video wall was created using NEC Ultra-Narrow Large Screen Displays, and 40” displays in a portrait orientation were used for digital signage purposes. Multiple Danley floor standing subwoofers were installed in the bar lounge, and JBL high-ceiling format loudspeakers in the bar and restaurant areas provide nightclub-style sound for special events. A Crestron audiovisual control system with scheduling and BACnet/IP control integration gives the end user control of the lighting and HVAC systems using a wireless Apple iPad interface. Ruckus Zoneflex Wireless Access Points and a ZoneDirector controller were utilized for creating and managing the WiFi network.
