Entertainment RetailCustom Video Wall and Digital Signage for Luxury Theater and Dining Venue in Orange County
THE LOT is an entertainment destination that offers patrons a sophisticated restaurant, a casual café, a high-end bar, and a movie theater all in one complex. The Newport Beach venue is the third location for THE LOT, which is setting the standard for luxury entertainment.
Like their first two locations, the owners of THE LOT wanted the AV system in the Newport Beach venue to combine ease of use with AV elements that would complement the high-end environment. This venue features a 3×3 video wall in the bar area, as well as a sound system that can rival any nightclub. The entire AV system, as well as the facility’s lighting and security systems, can be easily controlled and monitored from one centralized location.

Challenge
THE LOT approached Fluid Sound for an audio video installation that was based on their first two venues, since they desired a seamless operational element among all three locations. They also asked that we provide a WiFi infrastructure and control integration for the entire AV, lighting, and security systems. All equipment used needed to contribute to the high-end look and feel of the venue.
Solution
A Crestron audiovisual control system helps the end user manager all systems—including AV, lighting, and security—using a wireless iPad interface. A 3×3 video wall was installed in the bar area using NEC Ultra-Narrow large screen displays. NEC 40” displays in a portrait orientation were used for digital signage purposes. Multiple Danley floor standing subwoofers were installed in the bar and restaurant, along with JBL high ceiling format loudspeakers, to provide nightclub-style sound for special events. Ruckus Zoneflex Wireless Access Points and a ZoneDirector controller were used to create and manage the WiFi network.
The entire AV system, as well as the facility’s lighting and security systems, can be easily controlled and monitored from one centralized location.
