Seven Mile Casino recently underwent a $3.7 million renovation and expansion of their property in Chula Vista, which included a large porte cochere entry, 30-foot-high ceilings in the main card room, and the addition of 20 poker and pai gow tables, and two high-limit areas. There is also now a full-service kitchen featuring Chinese and American cuisine and a new outdoor patio bar area with fire pits and water fountains. With this expansion, Seven Mile Casino is one of the largest non-Indian-owned card room casinos in San Diego County.
To complement the extensive renovation of Seven Mile Casino, Fluid Sound designed and installed the casino’s AV system and added elements like an HD audio and video distribution system and commercial displays for television and digital signage. The new patio area has displays that can withstand the elements. Everything can be easily managed with a new AV control system.

Challenge
The management group in charge of real estate development approached Fluid Sound to design and install a high-definition video and audio distribution system with an emphasis on digital signage. They also requested an intuitive control system interface that could provide systems control throughout all areas of the casino.
Solution
DirecTV installation and digital signage services were provided for all of the TV displays. NEC commercial large format displays with outdoor weatherproof enclosures were installed on the patio. A BSS digital audio signal processor and JBL commercial grade loudspeakers and subwoofers were used for the audio zones. All systems are controlled using a Crestron control system with touch screen and iPad integration for the user interface.
