With deep ties to the surfing culture and widely celebrated as “Surf City USA,” Huntington Beach is now also home to Rip Curl’s newest global flagship store. Located just one block north of the famed Huntington Beach Pier on the Pacific Coast Highway, the store boasts a full offering of the latest Rip Curl wetsuits, boardshorts, apparel, watches, surfboards, accessories, and more.
Given that Rip Curl is a premium brand and the store would be located in a premium location, they needed an AV system to match! Digital signage was incorporated throughout the store, including a video wall, and floor standing interactive kiosk touch screens and a high-end sound system were installed—all of which add to the customer experience.

Challenge
Rip Curl wanted its new flagship retail store in Huntington Beach to be an audiovisual showpiece. The client requested a combination of digital signage, video distribution, touch screen kiosk technology, and a straightforward, easy-to-use push button control system to control all aspects of the AV system.
Solution
NEC thin bezel LCD screens were installed for digital signage, along with a WebDT digital signage player. Tannoy speakers provide superior sound quality throughout the store, and an AMX remote control system provides intuitive control of all AV systems.
