The 8,790 square foot Civita Rec Center clubhouse overlooks a spectacular lagoon pool, a lap pool, two spas, and a covered patio for year-round BBQs and picnics. It even has an outdoor movie screen for summertime movie nights. The facility features a fitness club for spin and yoga classes, a multi-purpose room, a professional kitchen, a game room (complete with a pool table, ping pong, shuffleboard, and an arcade), and a contemporary boardroom that’s perfect for hosting small meetings.

The Civita Rec Center needed an AV system that would put the facility over the top. We installed a sound system in the fitness center that rivals that of any nightclub. The multi-purpose room has a projection screen for presentations and a background music system. The game room features a hi-fi sound system and the boardroom is outfitted with all the necessary AV inputs and a display for computer presentations.

Challenge
The commercial real estate development company for Civita approached Fluid Sound to design and install a cost-effective, building-wide AV system for the mixed-use recreation center. They desired AV system control that would make use of both local, in-room controls and wireless tablets.
Solution
JBL in-ceiling, in-wall, and landscape loudspeakers and subwoofers were used throughout the facility, as well as poolside, and a BSS digital audio signal processor was installed. Da-Lite projection screens and an In-Focus video projector were placed in the multi-purpose space. Vizio large format displays were installed and set up with DirecTV service. The entire AV system can be controlled using wall-mounted controls or an Apple iPad.
Fluid Sound installed a commercial-grade AV system that helped put Civita Rec Center’s facility over the top.
