Challenge: The client needed a simple to use, deploy, and manage video conferencing solution for their new conference room build out that made use of Microsoft Teams and would include the capability to connect with remote worker easily. The room needed to function in multiple capacities that include room combing functionality which allows the conference room to be partitioned into smaller meeting rooms or function as one large conference room for larger all-hands meetings.
Solution: Creation of a Microsoft Teams Rooms using a Crestron Flex unified communications engine package. This allows Microsoft Teams software based video conferencing and content sharing to be added into the conference room with a control solution that allows the video conferencing meetings to start on time with one-touch join functionality, then instantly project to the dual monitor displays in the room and share with the remote worker participants. A scheduling panel was also added directly outside the conference room that allows team members easy visual notification if any meeting is currently in progress and any future meetings scheduled in that conference room.
The room also includes a Crestron control system for control and routing of the various video signals to the rooms video displays and a Biamp digital signal processor to manage all of the audio signal routing requirements and Biamps Parlee digial beamtracking ceiling microphones that provides crystal-clear audio for the Microsoft Teams video conference calls.
